Newsflash: Customers love email newsletters!
Do you know who else loves them? Newegg and TigerDirect.
Informal Case Study:
Being the market maven that I am my favorite newsletters are served up from electronic retail giants www.newegg.com and www.tigerdirect.com. Usually, these guys send at least one newsletter a day. What generally happens? I study it to see the latest and greatest deals and click on the links to learn more about the products. In fact, the majority of the time I visit their websites is via a newsletter link. Not to mention the last 8 of 10 electronics purchases I've made were from these two companies (easily over $2,000 in sales).
Result: The newsletter campaigns have increased website traffic, search rank, and most importantly sales.
What’s so great about email newsletters?
Email newsletters save customers time by delivering requested content right to their inbox. For me, it also serves as a reminder to check out the latest and greatest computer and electronic deals.

Ok, so newsletters increase traffic, page rank, and sales. How do I get started?
My favorite Joomla CMS based solution is "YANC- Yet Another Newsletter Component" by Joomla Addons. The best part about YANC is that you save tons of time by reusing your website content. Insert the content id in your newsletter and YANC inserts the content.
General Newsetters Creation Process:
-
Create a newsletter template with the tag [content] included (see 2nd iframe below).
-
Next, create an article like you normally would in Joomla's CMS.
-
Include the article id in the newsletter template [CONTENT:115].
-
Hit send and that's it!

Here are some new advertisement designs for MBM- Brakes, Steering, & Suspension. In a somewhat new approach (usually we run full page ads), we decided to run four black & white 1/12 page size ads (2.125" X 2.25") in Super Chevy, Chevy Hi-Performance, Muscle Car Review, and Off-Road Magazine. In an analysis, we concluded the target market (B2B) reads these car magazines cover to cover, and therefore, running four small ads would be the most cost-effective advertising strategy. Of course we'll continue to run full page ads as well.

I also need to compliment you on your web site....... very professional and easy to navigate. Your ordering system and service is also much better than most. It is obvious that someone took the extra effort to develop a very professional system that is consumer friendly. PirateJack.net Customer
